Revolution They Wrote is headed by Artistic Director Murdoch. A graduate of the Concordia Theatre Program she studied a branch of political/social theatre called Theatre Development. Her degree focused on how to use theatre for social change. In her own work Murdoch is a director, dramaturge, creator and theatre teacher in Montreal.
At the heart of her feminism are principals of deep listening and a desire for people to be kind to each other. Murdoch began RTW as a way to create opportunities for herself to examine her own relationship to feminism and art and continues the festival as each year she is inspired by the artists and their different visions for theatrical feminist revolutions.
Murdoch created Revolution They Wrote in 2014 with the help of the Concordia Students Union. She is forever grateful to those who helped her to develop the festival and those who continue to support it.
